I love fashion, and anyone near me knows this ALL too well *giggles*. I love just going down to the mall and wandering it with my girlfriend and some other friends. There’s only a few problems with that right now.

A) Lack of money
B) Current fashion trends SUCK!

ok, for A, it’s easily doable. I’ve got a job, just need paycheques, then everything will be fine. Paycheques = money = clothes, hehe ^^

the problem is B. Last summer here the fashion in all my favourite stores was neons. As someone who loves bright colours it was awesome. I spent so much of my money on it. Halters, tubes, tanks. It was great. Too bad it’s soo cold here now, can’t wear some of it. Well, i can, but not out in the open well. Like one of my favourite halters. It’s this light blue haltar with butterflies on it. It’s also cut so my tummy is fully visible. Oh, oh! And i have a green one that, except for my boobs (and even then, it’s deep cut) is sheer, and is great to wear on those warm summer days. Stupid winter.

But anyways, major problem. With the departure of the short-lived neons, the three prodominant colours for autumn? Salmon pink, white, and black. The fashion also seemed to move more towards the professional side as well. I remember one of the manacine in a store at the mall (Suzy Shier, bought lots of stuff there before) done up in a suit-like outfit White blouse, jacket, and i think pants (though might have been a skirt).

I’m not against professional clothing, since i know many people who would never dream of wearing anything daring, but it wasn’t pritty. It’s a shame, really, it is. Even as spring fashion starts coming out, even though there’s still almost 2 cold months until spring ‘officially’ starts, it doesn’t look promicing. Same sort of stuff, on the professional side of things.

But this is the middle of Canada’s conservative country. Can’t even get a decent pair of lowrise jeans, i swear. That’s for another rant. I think i’m going to do a lot of shopping online now. Some awesome stores that carry exactly what i want. I’ll see about posting links in the next few days.

Although, it could just be that winter is so long here. Nothing like bundling up with 16 layers, covering every millimetre of exposed skin just to go out to the car because you forgot something there. Maybe once the summer fashions come back out i’ll have what i want again. That would sure be nice.
